Hydrolab ORP

Hydrolab ORP

The Hydrolab ORP Sensor is a high-accuracy sensor designed to measure oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) in professional water quality monitoring applications. ORP is a critical indicator of a water body’s ability to oxidise or reduce chemical species, making the Hydrolab ORP sensor an essential tool for assessing disinfection effectiveness, chemical balance, and overall water treatment performance.

Factory integrated into the Hydrolab HL4 and Hydrolab HL7 multiparameter water quality meters, the Hydrolab ORP sensor delivers stable and repeatable measurements across a wide range of environmental and industrial water conditions. Its robust construction and proven electrode technology ensure dependable performance in both routine field surveys and long-term unattended deployments.

SENSOR COMPATIBILITY

The Hydrolab ORP Sensor is factory integrated into the following Hydrolab water quality meters:

• Hydrolab HL4
• Hydrolab HL7

Factory integration ensures optimal sensor positioning, reliable system communication, and accurate temperature compensated ORP measurements in the field.

Hydrolab ORP

WHY MEASURE ORP?

ORP is a valuable indicator of the oxidising or reducing conditions within a water system. It is commonly used to assess disinfection efficiency, monitor chemical dosing processes, and evaluate overall water treatment effectiveness. Changes in ORP can indicate shifts in microbial activity, chemical contamination, or treatment performance before other parameters show measurable change.

The Hydrolab ORP Sensor provides reliable, real-time ORP data that supports informed decision-making in environmental monitoring, wastewater treatment, and industrial process control applications.

IMPORTANT

Note: The Hydrolab ORP Sensor is supplied as a factory-integrated accessory and cannot be purchased as a standalone product.

Hydrolab ORP

The Hydrolab HL4 and HL7 water quality meters are manufactured by Hydrolab and proudly represented by Aqualab Scientific.

FEATURES

Features:

  • KCl impregnated glass bulb is permeable to hydrogen ions; reference filled with 3M KCl and has a porous Teflon junction. Salt bridge is formed between the two, and a potential is measured. Choice of standard or integrated refillable reference. Compliant with SM2580 B

Benefits:

  • Reference electrode is easily refilled in seconds – independent of the pH sensor pH sensor does not need replacement when reference electrode is depleted; simply refill the reference
