Aqua TROLL 500

The Aqua TROLL 500 is a rugged multiparameter water quality sonde designed for accurate spot checking, low flow groundwater sampling and long term unattended monitoring.  It has four interchangeable sensor ports and a dedicated wiper port, with an optional integrated pressure sensor.

The Aqua TROLL 500 combines the best of both worlds.

For field use, when coupled with TROLL Com Plus, live data can be viewed via the VuSitu Mobile App using any Bluetooth enabled Apple or Android phone or tablet.  Technicians can review readings, check instrument status, configure settings and complete calibrations directly in the field.  There is no need to purchase an additional handset.

For unattended deployments, the Aqua TROLL 500 connects to external power, data logging or telemetry equipment. Compatible VuLink telemetry and external data loggers support reliable long term monitoring without regular site visits.

Note: The integrated pressure sensor does not occupy one of the four interchangeable sensor ports.

Low Flow Sampling

The Aqua TROLL 500 is suitable for use when low flow groundwater sampling when coupled with the TROLL Com Plus portable Bluetooth device, the VuSitu Mobile App and flow cell.

This setup provides real time readings and trend information during purging and sampling.  The Groundwater Sampling Assistant helps technicians assess parameter stabilisation, while the mobile app reduces manual transcription and supports calibration and low flow sampling reports.

By bringing instrument readings, field guidance and digital records together, the system helps technicians determine when representative sampling conditions have been achieved.  Data can then be securely managed and emailed directly from the tablet to a computer, improving consistency, efficiency and traceability across groundwater monitoring programs.

Power & Internal Logging

The Aqua TROLL 500 does not include internal batteries, internal memory or a micro SD card for standalone data logging.  It requires an external power source of 8 to 36 VDC and uses an external data logger or telemetry system to record data.

When connected to compatible VuLink telemetry equipment, the Aqua TROLL 700 can transmit monitoring data to HydroVu or an external FTP server.

Rugged Buoy

The Rugged Buoy is a reliable, cost effective monitoring platform for long term deployment of water quality instruments and telemetry equipment in ponds, lakes, bays, rivers and coastal near shore environments.

Antifouling Options

An optional dual-sided antifouling wiper is available for long term deployments.  The wiper cleans the sensors and restrictor simultaneously to help maintain measurement quality and reduce maintenance requirements.
