A724 UHF RTU

The A724 addSWITCH Series 4 is an extremely robust RTU (Remote Telemetry Unit) with an integrated 10 mW radio module. It is fully compatible with all other members of the Adcon UHF radio family, be that the A733 addWAVE, the A740 addNODE or the A731 addRELAY. It can thus easily be integrated into existing Adcon networks, offering transmission distances of up to 1.000m.

Its extremely low energy consumption allows for permanent solar powered operation. Its internal battery pack powers the radio and the logger and charges the capacitors needed to activate latching solenoids with up to 15VDC.

A516

While the GPS Locator allows you to pinpoint the position of an object (such as a lateral move irrigator, drag line or weather station), the digital compass indicates the direction of movement – which is particularly useful for monitoring the uniformity of the movement of a centre pivot, as any change in speed shows as a change in slope of the graph.

Its extremely low power consumption and robust poly-carbonate housing, make the device ideally suited for permanent outdoor operation. A Goretex breather vent provides pressure compensation; the aluminium arm allows mounting on Adcon’s standard aluminium poles; and a 4m cable with Adcon’s standard 7-pin connector makes the device compatible with most Adcon RTUs (A723, A733, A753 and A755)

Maximum Level Gauge

The OTT Maximum Level Gauge (MLG) measures & records the highest water level stage reached at inaccessible sites.  Whether it be tidal surges, riverside locations, or other level fluctuations, the maximum water level is visually preserved for post-flood data modelling.

The MLG operates without batteries or other operator input.

Maximum Level Gauge: How it works

The MLG is a 1m measuring cylinder manufactured from glass fibre reinforced plastic.  As water rising up the cylinder, the internal Red colour band is washed from the cylinder, leaving a sharp dividing line that indicates the maximum water level reached.

Pluvio 2

The OTT Pluvio 2 is an all-weather precipitation gauge that uses superior weight-based technology to measure the amount and intensity of rain, snow and hail.

Parameters measured include:

• Cumulative precipitation
• Precipitation intensity
• Bucket content (real time)
• Bucket content (non-real time)Pluvio 2

The OTT Pluvio 2 employs a high precision load cell and algorithms that compensate for wind, temperature and evaporation, ensuring the highest accuracy precipitation measurements over time.

Precipitation Wind Shield (PWS)

To improve instrument performance in windy conditions, OTT has released a Precipitation Wind Shield (PWS).  The PWS improves aerodynamics in the area immediately surrounding the Pluvio intake and minimises the turbulence impact on the precipitation to be measured.  Mounting the wind shield on the vibrationless concrete platform detached from the mast of the precipitation gauge itself, provides additional protection from wind induced measurement errors.

OTT Precipitation Wind Shield

Why choose the OTT Pluvio 2?

• Accurate measurement: precipitation accuracy within 0.004 inches with accumulation and intensity readings and filter algorithms to compensate for wind, temperature, and evaporation.

• Virtually maintenance-free operation: lifetime factory calibration, drift-free measurements, and robust protective housing eliminate field visits for instrument service.

• Multiple communication interfaces: SDI-12, RS-485, and Pulse Output options.

• Solar panel power options make the instrument ideal for remote locations.

• Easy software setup and a USB interface for communication with computer.

• Wind protection shield available for particularly exposed locations.

• Heated ring option available to prevent the accumulation of snow on the sensor.

• Easy installation onto 4″ pipes.

PA1

Pressure monitoring with a spectacular price-performance ratio!

The Adcon PA-1 absolute pressure sensor with a G1/4″ manometer thread makes pressure monitoring affordable for any kind of application. Its low price notwithstanding it’s a top quality product Made in Switzerland.

Digital temperature compensation ensures high accuracy and repeatability, while at the same time providing excellent long term stability. This pressure transducer takes absolute readings within a range of 0 to 10bar (also available with a measuring range of 0 to 30bar).

As the image above shows the sensor is extremely small and compact. A robust M12 connector accepts a female jack as can be found on the optionally available 5 and 10m cables. Matching adapters for G1/2″ and NPT threads are available upon request.

BP1

This extremely accurate sensor is made in Switzerland for Adcon and employs the same pressure sensor already in use in Adcon’s LEV1 water level sensor.

The piezoresitive sensor element is fully temperature compensated and performs with accuracy better than 0,1%FS across the whole range. According to WMO requirements the sensor itself is encapsulated in a robust polycarbonate housing, which will protect the sensor element from erroneous readings caused by wind gusts. A high-capacity Goretex vent makes sure that pressure inside the case equals outside pressure, and that water ingress is prevented.

The sensor box is mounted to the pole of a weather station by means of a mounting bracket and clamp supplied with the product. A shielded 2m cable with a 7-pin Binder jack connects the probe to any RTU of the A723, A733 and A75x product families.
