Peat Sampler (04.09)

In essence, the Eijkelkamp Peat Sampler (04.09) is very similar to an Eijkelkamp stainless steel gouge auger, but supplied with enough extensions to reach a depth of 10m.

The Peat Sampler is initially pushed directly into the soil manually.  Having arrived at the correct sampling depth using an Edelman auger, the Peat Sampler is attached, deployed, pushed into the soil, then given half a turn clockwise (180°).  When turned, sample is sealed off by a plate that pivots around the center axle, that is fitted with a cutting edge on one side.

Typical applications include:

• Contaminated sites assessment.
• Soil sampling above groundwater table.
• Soil sampling below groundwater table.
• Environmental soil research.
• Undisturbed sampling.
• Soil texture research.

Every Eijkelkamp Peat Sampler (04.09) is supplied with:

• 1 x Edelman Auger (peat).
• 1 x Peat Auger.
• 1 x Push/Pull Handle.
• 1 x T-handle.
• 1 x Utility Probe.
• 9 x Extension Rods.
• 1 x Brush.
• 1 x Wire brush.
• 1 x Bent Spatula.
• 1 x Heavy Duty Carry Case.

Peristaltic Pump (12 VDC)

The Eijkelkamp Peristaltic Pump (#12.35.SB) is an incredibly versatile, field ready, digitally controlled, 12vdc battery powered Peristaltic Pump.

Typical applications include:

• Contaminated site assessment (groundwater sampling & purging).
• In-line filtration with 0.45 micro disposable filters.
• Low Flow Sampling.

The Eijkelkamp Peristaltic Pump (#12.35.SB) incorporates a maintenance-free 12 volt lithium-ion battery allowing the pump to be operated for at least two to five hours at a time (depending on the load).  The splash-proof housing (IP66 rated) ensures this pump is a firm field favourite.

The inbuilt microprocessor provides a user adjustable constant speed, allowing field operators to sample to depths of 6 – 9 meters.

Why add this to your equipment fleet?

• The battery can be recharged at any time, without being fully discharged.
• The battery is protected against over-discharge, ensuring a long service life.
• The pump may be used during charging. When the charger is connected, the pump is powered from the charger rather than the battery.

Note:  The battery can be charged via a 12v connection in the car. This requires a special cable plug (#123505) not supplied with the pump as standard.

Gouge Auger Set

Often referred to as the “cheese corer” of Hand Augers, the Eijkelkamp Gouge Auger Set (#04.06) is a slim bodied, low friction Hand Auger used to sample soil to a depth of 25cm – 60cm.

Designed with a half cylindrical auger body, with parallel cutting edges running from top to bottom, the Gouge Auger Set (#04.06) is simply pushed vertically (without revolving the auger) into the soil.  After insertion the gouge auger is simply turned clockwise, a core is cut loose, which can be removed with minimal effort.

Typical applications include:

• Contaminated sites assessment.
• Soil sampling above groundwater table.
• Soil sampling below groundwater table.
• Environmental soil research.
• Undisturbed sampling.
• Soil texture research.

The Eijkelkamp Gouge Auger Set (04.06) includes two interchangeable cutting tips:

• Cutting tip 1:  25cm (length) x 13mm (diameter)
• Cutting tip 2:  60cm (length) x 13mm (diameter)

A thumb type spatula is included with every kit, allowing user to contents of the Eijkelkamp Gouge Auger Set (04.06) safely.

DR1900 Portable Spectrophotometer

The Hach DR1900 is both a portable & desktop spectrophotometer, packaged into a single compact, field rugged, instrument.

Field testing often takes operators into dusty & wet conditions where delicate scientific instruments can struggle.  Built specifically with field use in mind, the rugged Hach DR1900 has a large, clear screen and a simple user interface making field analysis easy – even in the most demanding conditions. Easy to hold, and operate, the compact Hach DR1900 is a truly valuable tool for field technicians.

AS950 Portable Sampler

Sampling has never been this easy!

The Hach AS950 Portable Sampler is a field portable sampler ideal for environmental, stormwater and/or industrial sampling.

Complete with a large, full-colour display, the Hach AS950 Portable Sampler can be programmed without the need for a field laptop.  It offers USB upload & download capabilities, and the ability to copy programs between samplers.

The Hach AS950 portable sampler is available in three base sizes:

1.  Compact for smaller manhole applications;

2. Standard for a majority of applications;

3.  Large to allow for large bottle composite sampling.

For stormwater sampling, the Hach AS950 portable sampler provides the ability to initiate up to two different programs based on user-defined conditions, such as rainfall or pH thresholds.

For industrial sampling, the Hach AS950 portable sampler is available with a non-contact liquid detect to prevent cross contamination of samples.

The Hach AS950 can be further programmed to collect varying sample sizes, collect samples at user-specified time intervals (i.e., time-weighted) or flow volume increments (i.e., flow-weighted), or collect samples over an entire run-off event as determined by a rain or flow sensor.  Sample tubing can be replaced quickly without tools.

Various models are available.

DRB200 Digital Reactor Block

Preprogrammed for all standard Hach digestions, the Hach DRB200 thermostat ideally complements the Hach range of standard digestion tests including:

• Nitrogen
• Phophorus
• COD
• TOC
• Test ‘N’ tube
• TNT Plus

Two separately controllable heating blocks enable cuvettes and reaction vessels to be digested at identical or different temperatures and time settings. The heating blocks heat from ambient to 150 degrees in less than 10 minutes. The DRB200 has a digital timer with an automatic switch-off and acoustic signal and the two transparent splash protection lids close the thermostat while it is heating. The integrated anti overheating feature and the insulated external shell provide additional safety. The reactor will emit an audible signal and automatically shut down at the end of the run.

Various models are available suitable for 13mm TNTplus vials, 16mm Hach Chemistry vials, and 20mm vials.
