C-sense

C-sense is a compact, lightweight, plug-n-play sensor designed for measurement of the partial pressure of CO2 gas in liquids. Combining an oil resistant hydrophobic membrane and a temperature compensated non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector, C-sense measures the
partial pressure of CO2 in water, oil, and water and oil mixtures.

C-sense operates through the diffusion of gas across a hydrophobic membrane into an isolated headspace. While any resident gas may enter the headspace, the wavelength of the infrared sensor is specific to CO2  absorption. The amount of absorption of that wavelength is proportional to the concentration of CO2 gas in the headspace.

Specifically designed for applications involving immersion in water, oil, or water and oil mixtures, C-sense sensors incorporate an oil-resistant interface with a compact, temperature-compensated non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector.

C-sense are available in four standard measurement ranges:

  • 1,000ppm
  • 2,000ppm
  • 4,000ppm
  • 10,000ppm
  • other ranges available (discuss with Aqualab!)

Designed for integration, C-sense enables pCO2 monitoring at a significantly lower price than traditional pCO2 sensors.

Each C-sense ships with:

  • 1 x C-sense sensor
  • 1 x User Replaceable Membrane
  • 1 x Copper Antifouling Guard (installed)
  • 1 x Locking Sleeve Connector.

For longer term, or unattended deployments, Aqualab recommend the addition of a Hydro-Wiper mechanical wiper system to promote robust data capture.

DataBank Datalogger

The DataBank handheld datalogger is a rugged & self-contained, universal meter, datalogger, GPS & power supply that is used in combination with either a C-FLUOR or CYCLOPS 7F submersible sensor.

Sensor power is provided from the DataBank’s internal rechargeable battery. Various sensor cable lengths are available to allow sampling at different depths.

The DataBank handheld datalogger records high-frequency data which can be downloaded and graphically displayed on a PC.

GPS data is integrated into the DataBank handheld datalogger. Each line of data that is stored or exported contains time, date, and position information as well as the sample measurement. Integrated GPS data is important when conducting dye trace studies, mapping algal blooms or looking for the presence of optical brighteners as an indicator of wastewater contamination. Small and lightweight, the DataBank handheld datalogger is ideal for remote field work.

Handheld Little Dipper

The Handheld Little Dipper is a small, lightweight, highly durable handheld fluorometer ideal for quick measurements in the field.

Two versions are available:

  • Fluorescein optics
  • PTSA optics

Simple to operate, the Handheld Little Dipper is a perfect tool for system verification.

All Handheld Little Dippers include:

  • 1 x Little Dipper
  • 1 x Shade Cap
  • 1 x Batteries
  • 1 x Quick Start Guide
  • 1 x Warranty (2 Years)

T-Chain

The T-Chain is a long electrical cable, with various water quality sensors installed at customer defined intervals, that is inserted into a water column.

Available sensors include:

• Temperature
• Dissolved Oxygen
• PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation)
• Pressure
• Chlorophyll
• Turbidity

T-Chain will emit calibrated measurements via RS232 or RS485 and report data back to a customer supplier logger system.

Every T-Chain is constructed on a customised basis with the sensors prebuilt and prepositioned on the T-Chain according to customer requirements.

T-Chain Applications

T-Chain is perfect for the following applications:

• Monitor water column continuously
• Detect plumes / stratification
• Detect internal waves
• Identify upwelling and eddies
• Validate models
• Determine stratification intensity

The product is proudly manufactured by PME and exclusively represented by Aqualab Scientific within Australia.

Ballast Check 2

The Ballast Check 2 is a lightweight, highly portable handheld Fluorometer.

Ideal for quick indicative compliance checks of ballast water., the Ballast Check 2 is Factory calibrated, ready for use right out of the box and optimized for the ballast water D2 regulations.  No additional calibration is required.  All required accessories are included.

The precision and accuracy of the Ballast-Check 2 have been independently verified and demonstrated to correlate well with microscopy;  when  estimating cell counts even after UV treatment.

Simple one-button measurements display estimates for both algal abundance and algal activity, while also providing ship crew or port state control with an indication of risk for exceedance of the regulation.  Results are logged internally and can be downloaded as a PDF report which cannot be edited.

Ballast-Check 2 is ideal for quick on-the-spot indicative compliance tests of ballast water.

AquaFlash

The AquaFlash is a highly portable Fluorometer specifically designed for the quick and accurate estimation of total chlorophyll and photosynthetic efficiency “health” of algae using in vivo fluorescence detection.

Simply insert a 10x10mm square glass or quartz cuvette with your sample and press READ.  Results will be displayed in less than 15 seconds.

Results are displayed and automatically logged to be viewed or downloaded at a later time.

The AquaFlash has a total data storage capacity of 1,000 measurements which include raw fluorescence values along with calculated estimates for user reference.

Diver-MATE

The Diver-MATE is designed for simple and fast download of the data from Diver groundwater data loggers.

This custom designed unit minimises data transfer errors by connecting directly to Diver DXT-Cable whilst the Diver is deployed in a well (insitu), meaning the Diver does not need to be removed for data download.

Diver-MATE stores the data on its internal memory and can literally store data from thousands of Divers.   Fully charged, each unit can support up to 5 days of operational use.  A LED indicator highlights the battery capacity.

Diver-MATE:  DIVER DATALOGGERS

Diver-MATE works with the entire Diver family including:

• TD-Diver
• Baro-Diver
• CTD-Diver
• Cera-Diver
• Micro-Diver

Diver-MOD

Diver-MOD is a MODBUS interface module for Diver Dataloggers.

Diver-MOD can be used to connect Divers to an RS485 network using the MODBUS /RTU protocol.  It features a barometric sensor, which can be used to convert pressure values into water level.

A typical MODBUS configuration is depicted in the figure below.  In the schematic two Diver MODBUS modules are connected to a PC/PLC.  This connection includes both data communication and power.  The maximum MODBUS cable length depends on the baud rate, the cable, the network configuration (2-wire or 4-wire), etc.  A maximum length of 1000 meters can be achieved using the right components.
